With the Bhumjaithai Party having left the ruling coalition, July is set to be a turbulent month in Thai politics, as Paetongtarn’s parliamentary majority has narrowed to just 10 votes, the NACC has launched an ethics probe into leaked audio of her phone call with Hun Sen, and numerous court proceedings are set to take place soon, including Thaksin’s lèse-majesté trial next week, while the Constitutional Court is scheduled to hear a Senate petition that could remove her from office, a corruption case over the Senate election is on the docket, and royalists are planning a major protest at Victory Monument.
