BANGKOK – Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij said Thai productivity had dropped 3% in the third quarter of 2010 due to an increase in diarrhea.
“Everyone has been getting the shits the last few months,” Korn told reporters outside the Finance Ministry. “I mean, I myself have SMS’d Abhisit at least six times since August that I would be late to work because of the runs as well as some irritation due to piles.”
Thai reporters then took notes intently as Korn described the pile that had formed on his anus, before offering Korn several long-winded stories about their own diarrhea in recent weeks.
Korn confirmed that Abhisit had irritable bowel syndrome.
