BANGKOK — In a bold attempt to shake up the local media industry, the board of the Nation Group along with senior editors of The Nation newspaper have unanimously agreed to add a third color to its headlines and a second color in its stories.
“Beginning in February, The Nation’s headlines will not only feature random red words but also yellow ones,” announced Suthichai Yoon. “In addition, we will use two colors in the text of our stories rather than just traditional black. We believe our readership will appreciate this clever use of fonts.”
Yoon said it did not matter which words appeared in which color.
Asked by a Thai reporter if a third color, such as yellow, might also be introduced in the stories as well, Yoon smiled, “Hey, let’s not get too crazy here.”
