BANGKOK – In a live news conference today, PTT president Prasert Bunsumpun announced that by 2009 all of the company’s fueling stations would offer genuine, wood-fired pizza. “PTT has always been at the forefront of services for drivers,” Prasert said. “In addition to our Amazon Café coffee shops and drive-thru banking, what tired motorists and truck drivers really need is authentic Italian pizza with a smoky, cracker-thin crust.” PTT plans to build brick ovens “a safe distance from the pumps” and re-train 600 station attendants to be pizzolas. Initial toppings will include parma ham, fermented prawns, and ketchup.
