BANGKOK — A Ramkamhaeng University poll found yesterday that an overwhelming 87% of respondents said the most exciting news story in 2007 was when Chotiros “Amy” Suriyawong wore a super sexy dress at an awards show in Nakhorn Ratchasima in February.
The dress led to endless speculation about whether Amy was actually wearing any underwear, and eventually prompted a backlash from the prudish elements of society.
“Thai girls generally dress very conservatively, so Amy’s luscious thighs and ample cleavage came as a bit of a shock,” one respondent said.
Coming in second with 7% was General Sonthi Boonyaratglin’s retirement, while 5% said the August 19 referendum and another 1% the December 23 election.
