SEOUL – The Korean Peninsula descended into full-blown war this morning when a dandelion seed, caught in a gentle northerly breeze, crossed the DMZ into North Korea. The unilateral seed-trespass, which violated Pyongyang’s earlier declaration to protect its territory against “any incursion of .00001 millimeter” was immediately answered by a tactical nuclear strike on the main port at Pusan, killing 23,000 people and destroying 20% of South Korea’s export capability.
While Seoul contemplated its response, the United States declared its intention to stand by its military ally, with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton harshly condemning the attack and threatening to unleash the US’s full arsenal of dandelion seeds.
