Samak Threatens to Hold Breath Until Press Pays Attention Again

BANGKOK – Citing the “ridiculous” amount of attention that has been directed towards the return of former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, current PM Samak Sundaravej threatened today to hold his breath until the cameras turned back to him. “I’m the boss, me, not him,” Samak screamed at the single reporter who showed up to cover his news conference – a student-newspaper reporter from Mahidol University. “Where is everyone?” Samak demanded from the 19-year old, who dropped his pencil and clipboard in fear and ran away. “I have things to say. Come back here. How old are you? Get me Channel 3. I’m mad. Samak want more attention. I’m holding my breath. No fair. I hate you!” the Prime Minister continued, to no one in particular, according to official transcripts. A spokesman told NTN that Samak would continue to hold his breath indefinitely and possibly hurl his own feces at the wall today.
