BANGKOK — Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd, appointed leader of the Center for Resolution of the Emergency Situation, lashed out at the red-shirted protestor’s decision to no longer wear red clothing.

“This is a violation of the rules of engagement,” he said. “For the terrorist protestors to start looking like normal Thais is a hostile and barbaric act.”

Sansern expressed concern that soldiers would no longer know who to shoot at, which would raise civilian casualties.

“Whatever happens now, whoever dies, no matter what, it will be their fault,” he said.
