BANGKOK – Witnesses say several hundred trees are now gathered in Lumpini Park in what appears to be a growing stand against the Nation Multimedia Group’s horrifying waste of paper called the ‘Daily XPress.’
The trees, which represent many different ages and species, have lined the walkways and circled the lake to solemnly express their outrage at the media group’s new endeavor, a 48-page daily distributed for free around the country.
The trees have reportedly threatened to hold their ground until ‘The Nation’ editors apologize for dishonoring their fallen, paper-making brothers.
“I feel bad for them standing out here in the sun all day,” said 34-year-old jogger Luckana Theerisut. “Some of them haven’t had a drink for days.”
